A change communications expert, with global experience of virtual working & managing, I’m also a trained journalist who loves writing to deadlines. CEOs value my calm, focused style, and ability to ask the right questions - ensuring the ‘why’ is always clear
Since going freelance in 2020, I've worked individually with charities, Church of England Dioceses, and some corporates. And with Sparks Studio to refresh whole brand strategies.
My skills lie in helping a team - at senior leadership or project level - see what it takes to build a clear communications strategy. My ability to make connections across sectors and follow trends means I bring a useful external perspective.
My background is in charity communications - I've run communications, media & PR teams in England and Scotland, delivering comprehensive & high-quality coverage for organisations and coalitions such as Stop Climate Chaos & the DEC.

Before all that, I trained as a print journalist, cutting my teeth on The Church of England Newspaper, for whom I reported from Africa, Asia and Latin America.
​
I have a BSc in Psychology from Southampton University, and a PostGraduate Certificate in Charity Marketing and Fundraising from London South Bank University.
​
​Always keen to support the local community, I run the communications for our local cricket team and previously focused on vision, values, and leadership development as a governor of our Church of England Primary school.
